After totalling his first sportbike, Dave spent a few years polishing his dirt-biking skills.
In 2001, he bought another sportbike, and after 25,000 miles of street riding, he started doing track days.
After a few months, he realized that what he really wanted was to race.
He started racing in September 2003, where he took 2nd place in his very first race, Lightweight Endurance. In 2004, Dave was plagued by recurring electrical problems on his 1996 Honda CBR600F3, and he had to sit out the last 3 races of the season due to a broken shoulder blade, but he still managed to finish the season in 9th place overall in Novice GTU. Dave moved to Expert for 2005, and upgraded to a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R600. He was running strong until mechanical problems prevented him from competing the last 2 race weekends. |
