Dean got his first bike in 1980 when he was 13 years old, a 1975 Harley Davidson 175. He stripped it down and put some plastic fenders on it and voila, his first dirt bike. That lasted less than a year. His next bike was a brand new '89 FZR 600 that he just rode around town with his wife on the back. 13 months later it got stolen and totaled in the crash from the police chase. Almost 14 years later he buys a 2003 R1. He only had it for about 3 months before Hoopty got him hooked on 'track days'. Another 3 months later he got his race license. That was all she wrote... His first season went waaay better than he could have imagined. He won 3 races in a row and had a huge lead in points with only 4 races races left in the season when he broke his collar bone on a 'track day'. He managed to do the last race and secured a fifth place overall finish in NGTO. Dean is really looking forward to the 2005 season!
