| I started riding bikes in 1976 when I purchased a 1969 Triumph Bonneville. Took a 20 year sabatical while racing sports cars in the SCCA. Got the urge in 2001 to start riding two wheel horses again. Bought a 1997 Triumph Daytona and rode it for a year. It was a little tight for a guy my size. Moved up to a 2000.5 Aprilia RSV Mille in 2002 and totally fell in love with riding all over again. Started doing track days in 2003 and attending MRA road races as a spectator and occasionally helping friends in the pits. I kicked around the idea of racing the Mille but feedback from MRA racers, friends and my wife (figured I would be real upset if I crashed the Mille) steered me into purchasing a race prepped 1999 Yamaha R6. Took a private MRA License class in August of 2003. |
