I bought my first motorcycle in 1998, a Kawasaki KX250. I learned to ride on the dirt, but was drawn to streetbikes soon after.
I bought my first streetbike a few months later, a 1998 CBR 600F3 in 1999. I totalled that bike in an accident within 3 months.
The next few years I spent polishing my dirtbiking skills. In May 2001, I bought my next streetbike, a 2001 SV650S.
After 25,000 miles on it, I decided it was time to take it to the track. I wanted to push myself but didn't feel safe doing it on the street.
After a few months riding on racetracks, I realized that what I really wanted to do was race.
I started racing in September 2003, where I took 2nd place in my first race (lightweight endurance).
I also had 2 second place finishes in the Sportsman class.
