I started riding motorcycles in 1995. In 1998, I got my first "sportbike" - a Kawasaki ZX-11.
After moving to Colorado and discovering the
Colorado Sportbike Club, I finally learned what sport-riding really meant
(prior to that I was only going fast in a straight line!).
In 2002, I bought a brand new Yamaha R1 and ventured on to the track a few times. I was soon hooked.
In the spring of 2003, I attended the Team InfoTech track school at PPIR,
and in August, I took a private MRA License class with Mark Schellinger & got my race license.
I cornerworked the last 3 race weekends of 2003, and that just confirmed what I already suspected -
I just had to race.
In the fall of 2003, I bought a race-prepped '99 Yamaha R6, which I will be racing in the 2004 season.
